JW: Radical Friendship: Seven Ways to Love Yourself and Find Your People

 

I believe I've found the book I was looking for ... and it comes from a Buddhist perspective.

It's too late to make much progress on this tonight but the introduction and this page definitely captured my attention so I've just downloaded it.

This is the friend I want to be.
