JW: Lessons of Alone

Lessons of Alone

we come alone;

we leave alone.

in between we try

to avoid feeling alone.

perhaps that's missing the point,

perhaps alone is the design,

the purpose of being here,

in a body made separate,

in a world full of singularities.

perhaps heaven is the place

of connection we return to

after this tormented time 

of separation and aloneness.

perhaps every moment of connection

sparks memories of heaven,

reminders that alone doesn't exist,

can't exist.

perhaps we come here to clear

the dust of separateness,

the fog of trying to be One

when we're truly

particles,

bits of One,

specks

of endless eternity,

connected,

bonded

by a sea

of love.
